Michelle develops projects for art and film in her role as Executive Director of Austin City Art Fund. Her work includes successful collaborations on exhibitions and commissions with leading funders in the arts, including Ford Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. In her role at The Contemporary Austin, Michelle spearheaded the museum’s joint proposal with the City of Austin Mayor’s Office for the Bloomberg Public Art Challenge, which was selected as a finalist from more than 200 cities. Michelle's film credits include Associate Producer of Academy-Award-nominated filmmaker Sandra Adair's documentary, The Secret Life of Lance Letscher, and Gretchen Stoeltje’s documentary, Shouting Down Midnight, airing on MSNBC.
Michelle has also developed numerous arts-based civic projects, including significant work on Phase I of the Master Plan for Laguna Gloria in collaboration with The Moody Foundation and Still Water Foundation, as well as consulting for Co-Lab’s new studio space in East Austin. To support access to art and nature, Michelle established the Education Fund and collaborated with community members to revitalize Ramsey Park.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Art Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, Film, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
